Lipolysis and Regional Thinning / Cellulite Application

Which Substances Are Used in Lipolysis Mesotherapy?

Lipolysis mesotherapy is performed by injecting fat-burning and firming mesotherapy cocktail into tissues with fine needles. The cocktail usually contains phosphatidylcholine, lecithin, vitamin C, and iron. These substances help break down the fat in the area where it was injected and be removed by the liver. Regional thinning is achieved by losing the effect of fat cells in the region.

When Does It Take Effect?

The breakdown of fat cells and regeneration of tissues does not occur immediately. Therefore, some patience is required for the process to take effect. In order for lipolysis mesotherapy to be effective, at least 4 – 6 sessions are required. Regional thinning begins to show its effect after the 3rd session. Ideal and expected results are seen from the 6th session.

In Which Areas Is Slimming Mesotherapy Applied?

Slimming mesotherapy is applied to the areas where fat accumulation is intense. Abdomen, belly, hips and legs are the main ones. If necessary, it can also be applied inside the arm. Before starting slimming mesotherapy, the doctor and the patient evaluate the areas where thinning is desired and how much thinning is aimed. Mesotherapy can be applied to one or more regions selected as a result of the evaluation. Slimming mesotherapy gives more effective results when applied to more than one area for a proportional and balanced body appearance.

When does the lipolysis effect begin? How many sessions are required?

The number of sessions may vary depending on the person’s problem. It is performed at least 2 weeks apart by monitoring the effect of the needles. The results of the 1st session begin to be seen after 2-3 weeks. But melting continues for much longer. Although the number of sessions varies from person to person, it can be 3–6 sessions or 4–8 sessions.

What is the difference of lipolysis from other methods?

With lipolysis, the melting and disposal of fat mainly occurs through the body’s own natural processes. Injections increase the fluidity and permeability of the fat cell membrane, making it easier for body fat to exit the cell. In the adipose tissues where the drug is injected, a natural metabolic process takes action and melts the fat. It allows it to be removed from the body. The most important feature of lipolysis treatment is the slow but deep melting process.

Lipolysis brings the fat cells to normal sizes. It even destroys many of them. Once the fat cell is destroyed, it does not regenerate. This process can be compared to Liposuction, as it completely destroys some fat cells. However, liposuction performs this job surgically and mechanically pulls the fat with vacuum.

After liposuction surgery, a corset should be worn to prevent deformation of the body shape. In addition, surgery scars, bruises and edema continue for a long time. However, while having lipolysis injections, you can continue your social life normally.

On the other hand, if you regain weight after liposuction, there is a possibility that the accumulated fat in your body will collect in different places. The skin looks wavy. The body is often deformed.

With lipolysis, the fat cells in that area are partially destroyed. However, since the tissue is not damaged as much as liposuction, it comes back with a more natural distribution. In fact, regional lubrication treatments should be done to people with more stable weight.
